Alexandre. I want to tell you something, my friend.
Thanks to the links you share with me to make the daily vote for the construction of the Hudson Valley Park Sala, I've noticed something very interesting about myself.
Until today, when I voted through the website, I did so fondly and inspired by the well-being of our messenger friends there; but the image that always accompanied the votes was of remoteness. I didn't see myself sharing the space, or the inner calling with them.
During my last vote, something profound happened to me which I am thankful for. After clicking on the blue button, which says "Vote for this video", I went over the video again and as I looked at those beautiful images and listened to the voices of friends I was spiritually transporting myself to those spaces. There I was, in that park, happy, and - what surprised me even more - reconciled.
And this reconciliation? I began wondering. I gently went into a reflection. I began noticing that since I started my academic life in college, my intellectual stance which I had formed and chosen for myself, was that of rejection of everything that comes from America. I had set up the image of that country as a global enemy, since the information I was finding until after I finished my university career was laden with a strong charge of violent socialism.
And in humble search, I came to understand that victimism is another form of violence. Since I understood it (emotionally rather than intellectually) it was easier for me to recognize violent postures, both in me and outside of me; and perhaps that's why, with your help in inviting me to vote for Hudson, with the help of the interchanges about the [ceremony] of recognition and the falling out with other friends, my inner look has become clearer, even though I notice I am still resentful with the image of the United States, deformed by me,
I've never had any no remote interest or temptation to visit that country before; but thanks to that “Beacon of Light" that is at Hudson Valley, and the links you shared with me to vote for the construction of the Sala in that beautiful park of Study and Reflection, my desires have been elevated to go there, and to continue reconciling with those lands, and overcome time and space by loving their people and the various dynamics expressed in the United States.
That's something I appreciate, my brother. Thank you for always inviting me to vote for Hudson Valley. I will continue to vote, and with more and more affection.
