I cannot remember how and when I got involved in this campaign for the Sala in Hudson Valley. At first we were busy with the numbers, the number of the views and votes of the film. We tried to see tendencies, to measure our strength in spreading the idea of voting. I started to spread the link in various Facebook and WhatsApp groups, to friends with whom I didn’t have connection for a while. And even though I couldn’t really get the idea of winning in this competition, I felt very coherent to share information about the campaign. The image of the Sala in Hudson Valley Park was very much there in my co-presence, and I felt that I am part of a growing intangible wave. Little by little the scope of this campaign enlarged, reached more and more people and generated more and more force. When there was the 10th anniversary of the departure of Silo, the importance of his words strengthened even more, his vision of a park near New York reinforced. This campaign was not anymore about win an architectural competition, but about generating a worldwide force of support for the Sala in Hudson Valley Park. It was a special moment when did an asking in Mikebuda Park, and I knew there are many others who do the same at that moment.
After so many month of partial separation, delayed international meetings, there was a need for connection with others, to feel the presence of others, the strength of Siloism in these troubled times.
I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to be part of this crazy, very inspiring project, and for those who initiated and generating this wave every day.
Thanks, Csefko, for accompanying us on this crazy, wonderful journey. Your blog is helping us to appreciate the inspiration from people all over the world. This is converging diversity in action! And the Sala is opening it's 4 doors to meet at the center.
