When I heard about the campaign in Hudson Valley Park and started participating, I wondered: Why should I? And what for?

I have many reasons, I mention 3:

1. I see the importance of strengthening the diffusion of our parks and the activities that take place within them. It’s a priority to reach thousands of people, so they know that they can take refuge in them in the face of this unprecedented social and personal crisis that we are living around the world. Not only is it COVID-19, but also by the strong social destructuration, the internal crisis that we are living with the breakdown of personal ties that unite us with our loved ones, in a world that has already left, that no longer exists.

To spread the word to thousands of people that these spaces are a refuge for the psychological rehabilitation that many people need today, for the loss of loved ones or for the loss in quality of life. That they know that they are sacred places, the best that is inside human beings.

2. Another reason is the need I experience to help generate areas of complementation and exchange between people in this area of the continent, from Canada and the USA to Mexico and Central America. Alone we cannot build the foundations of a better world, we need unity in action from the hearts of all those who desire it in this region.

3. Finally, those of us who voluntarily build these spaces for people, know how complex their construction is and even more so bringing to life a park with the construction of the Sala, which is their heart. We know and live the effort that it means to do this for the new generations, the great problems that need to be solved in order for these places to exist, and we also know that our action has a great sense of humanization. So supporting the Hudson Valley Park project is making it easier for others to build the Sala.

4. In my case the least I can do is support and surrender my heart so that this can be achieved, it is a very worthy cause of the human spirit.

5. Beyond winning or not winning the project, we have already won with the diffusion we are making of our Parks, and above all to see and feel the strength of the union of all of us in different latitudes and cultures of the world.

Thanks to Hudson Valley friends!
